About Me:
I grew up as a baby boomer in North Branford, CT, where I first got hooked on radio. Radio beckoned in 1974 when I was still in college. Upon graduating Keene State College of the University of New Hampshire, I got a job in Middletown, CT at WCNX as midday guy and, soon after, program director. Other stops around the region included Danbury and a stint as operations manager at WLAD/WDAQ. I gained some Connecticut advertising sales experience in the late eighties through Shore Line Newspapers, a division of ABC/Cap Cities. Broadcasting has taken me on a tour around Connecticut, including Hartford stations WWYZ, WRCH, WZMX and a station I grew up with: WDRC. I went back to direct mail advertising sales in 2002 with publisher Allan Arico, concentrating on developing his monthly shoppers The Extra & The Advertiser and staying with it through today. Just when I thought my broadcasting years had come to an end, WBMW in southeastern Connecticut became my next stop in 2003 beginning with a few remote broadcasts and growing from there. Between July 2007 and March 2010 I hosted the WBMW Wakeup Club, most of that time with Rebecca Morse Whitten. Will that be my radio swan song? Radio is certainly not the same, but I'll never say never. I continue my travels around eastern Connecticut representing The Extra & The Advertiser, along with my rural lifestyle in Colchester, CT
